Justice Federal Credit Union banks on Cisco Contact Center solution

Based in Chantilly, Justice Federal Credit Union has been serving DOJ employees for over 75 years. With 18 locations, Justice FCU strives to be the premier provider of retail and financial services to the justice and law enforcement communities.

The JFCU had two call centers to serve its clients, but there was no way to hand off calls between them, which meant some callers could wait longer than others to get service. The old system had no real-time call reporting, skills-based call distribution, or call recording. To overcome these gaps, the JFCU implemented a Unified Communications solution recommended by CWPS.

CWPS installed Cisco’s Unified Contact Center Express at JFCU’s headquarters in Chantilly. Now, agents working at home and JFCU branch offices are connected with full access to all contact center features. With centralized management and real-time reporting, calls are now dynamically routed to agents across the JFCU network, which means clients get faster response. Calls can now be recorded and agents can be coached for better performance. To keep everything working smoothly, JFCU’s new technology is protected with CWPS’s comprehensive support service, EncorePro.

Rifat Ikram, Justice Federal Credit Union V.P. of Electronic Delivery and Support Services, appreciated the CWPS team’s professionalism…

“Throughout the transition, we became very comfortable with the engineering team to the point of viewing CWPS as a partner, rather than just a vendor.”

CWPS announces new “IT Fitness Plan” service

As part of our ongoing efforts to help you manage your IT environment, CWPS is offering a new service – “IT Fitness Plan”.

Whether you’re an existing CWPS IT Assist customer or looking for a customized network assessment, our IT Fitness Plan can help you discover what’s working well and what needs attention.

We’ll monitor the critical aspects of your network and provide a health report with recommendations.

The CWPS IT Fitness Report provides a comprehensive review of your IT environment. CWPS measures the health of your major IT subsystems by analyzing several key metrics in each subsystem. This process is dynamic and ongoing.

This report is broken down into 3 sections:

IT Fitness Scorecard: This is an executive summary of your IT environment that provides a one page view of the report data.

IT Fitness Metric Review: This section provides details of each metric reviewed by CWPS, organized by IT subsystem.

IT Fitness Plan: This section provides a narrative analysis of problem areas and CWPS recommended resolutions.

Over time, CWPS will adapt the metrics to reflect the current state of technology. Find out how the CWPS IT Fitness Plan can better inform and benefit your business. Contact us today at (877) 297-7472 or connect@cwps.com

Citrix and Cisco make iPad and tablet a tool for business

Available Now…

As a complement to the corporate desktop, Apple’s iPad is ideal for mobile business use. Citrix offers a pair of iPad apps for teleworkers, while Cisco plans to offer the Cius, a mobile collaboration tablet.

The Citrix Receiver App for iPad makes it easy for users to take a virtual office with them anywhere they go by providing secure access to all of their corporate applications and documents.

The Citrix GoToMeeting App brings the same level of simplicity to the world of business meetings, making it easy for users to collaborate from anywhere via online meetings that are both effortless and visually stunning.

In Development…

Cisco’s Cius tablet announced at the CiscoLive show in June has a rollout planned for Q1-2011. It is designed to help organizations capitalize on the value of mobility by enabling anywhere, anytime access to important business applications. The device includes…

− High-resolution, multi-touch color display with an intuitive user interface

− HD video with Cisco TelePresence interoperability

− Virtual desktop client integration and cloud computing

− Full range of Cisco Collaboration and Unified Communication applications

NetApp makes data protection a
“Snap” with popular software suite

Protecting your data and business applications is a necessity. NetApp's affordable “Snap” protection software suite allows you to safeguard more of your business-critical applications than would be possible with more costly, alternate solutions …

SnapShot – Creates point-in-time copies of file systems.

SnapMirror – Provides disaster recovery protection for business-critical data.

SnapRestore – Uses stored Snapshot backups to recover entire file systems or data volumes in seconds, regardless of capacity or number of files.

SnapVault – Protects data at the block level, copying only the data blocks that have changed since the last backup; not entire files.

SnapLock – Creates non-rewritable, non-erasable volumes to prevent files from being altered or deleted until a set retention date, as required for government compliance or organizational best practices.

The experts at CWPS are ready to help you fit NetApp data protection solutions to the needs of your business. Contact us today at (877) 297-7472 or connect@cwps.com.

DC region’s economic outlook improving,
Cisco & CWPS experiencing uptick in demand

We’ve all been waiting for things to get better, and now there are strong signs that the economy in the DC region is gaining steam… We’ve felt it - businesses are spending again - buying more computers, networking, and phone system equipment.

One indicator of better economic times is Cisco’s 27% jump in revenue last quarter. It expects this growth to continue this summer. Not only is Cisco the largest company of its kind, it also offers great products and has a very loyal base or partners and customers. As a Premier Certified Cisco Partner, CWPS has felt the uptick in local demand.

What’s driving the market? There are big opportunities to address technology challenges that were postponed during the downturn. The growth in network traffic hasn’t let up and is creating the need for new communication equipment. As networks continue to grow larger, they become more complex and cumbersome to manage. One of the next major steps forward in IT is bringing network infrastructure into easy-to-manage, seamless systems. Combining software and hardware, these integrated networks increase efficiency, improve quality of service, and lower costs. Successful organizations want to stay ahead of the curve.

If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your voice, data, and video networks, now is a great time to get moving as the economy heats up. For all of your networking needs, contact us today at (877) 297-7472 or connect@cwps.com.
